Hospitality Services

This course introduces the student to the career opportunities available to them in the Tourism and Accommodation industries. One of the C.V.E. programs, this course links class theory with extensive work placements in some of the finest establishments in the food, hospitality and tourism industry in the Province.

Courses include:-

Customer Service; Tourism; Food Preparation; Dining Room Service; Beverage Service; Housekeeping Skills; Hotel and Consumer Math; Management; Applied Dining Room Service; Applied Food Preparation.

As with all C.V.E. programs, this course offers up to 10 high school credits, and students will receive a certificate upon completion. They will also have the exposure to the Hospitality Industry necessary in order to make a commitment to further courses at the post-secondary level, including Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Administration and Tourism.   Students will be registered with the Manitoba Tourism Education Council for certification in a variety of occupations.

Requirements for the course are the same as all other C.V.E. programs. Students are also expected to supply their own standard uniform of black pants, black comfortable shoes and white dress shirt.
