Ebscohost: This site offers access to a number of different databases'. Each database is slightly different from another, with access to hundreds and hundreds of different magazines on every topic you can imagine. A great resource for finding information on literature (Magill on Literature, Magill on Authors), science (Marshall Cavendish Science Reference Centre), current events (Communication & Mass Media), and many other areas of interest.
Facts on File: This database is for research in all areas of the sciences. It is updated daily,a nd the science news section has all of the latest news on space, environmnetal issues, etc.
World Geography: This site offers cultural, geographic, statistical, and historical information on coutries all over the world. It is also updated daily with a new and current information centre.
Career Cruising: See what career you are best suited for, investigate how to and then create an online career portfolio, and read profiles of all sorts of jobs and careers.
Early Canadiana Online: Check out the excellent search function to find primary documents, books, and images (including maps) from Canada's early history.
ESTAT: Statistics Canada's online database with all kinds of raw data for the researcher in you!
Try the Bigchalk database for a limited time! An excellent all round source for information in the form of images, sound clips, journal, magazine, and newspaper articles.
ProQuest: This link offers access to the History Study Center, Proquest Learning: Literature, and general reference centre called Elibrary! Available online for a limited time only.
