Maples Youth Activity Centre (MYAC)
All activities are FREE!
MYAC is a youth interactive program focused on youth ages 9-16. We provide a space for youth in the Maples area to use the facilities of several schools such as James Nisbet, Arthur E.Wright and Elwick Community School all year long. We strive to provide a fun atmosphere for kids where we offer plenty of activities such as Arts and Crafts, Sports, Workshops, Outings, 3-on-3 Basketball tournaments and any sport imaginable.
This summer we are currently open from 2:00 - 9:00 pm for the month of July and August where we hope to see many of the kids in the community participate in our program!
MYAC staff is committed to the community and the youth that attend our site. We are always striving to provide more opportunities to our participants.
We recently celebrated the 10th year anniversary of MYAC by hosting a community Ice Cream Social. The turnout was huge where tons of youth from the community and previous participants attended to reconnect with old friends and meet new friends. Youth, parents, funders, teachers and board members were all present that helped make the event a memorable one!
MYAC youth performed a dance routine which they had been practicing for several months at the site which was spectacular.
