In English 40S Comprehensive students engage with and compose texts that inform, persuade, analyze, foster understanding and empathy, reflect culture, express feelings and experience, and bring enjoyment. Students will have the opportunity to experience both fiction and non-fiction texts. Each outcome is to be achieved through a variety of listening, speaking, reading, viewing and representing experiences. Please note that one credit for English 40S is necessary for your Grade 12 diploma. Students enrolled in 40S English may participate in the ELA provincial exam.
