A.M. course description: This grade 12, 40S credit course examines the biological perspective of psychology through the study of the brain and central nervous system. Mental illness, treatment and awareness are explored as well as certain psychological disorders.
P.M. course description: Psychology is the scientific study of behaviour and mental processes. It uses the scientific method to discover ways of understanding the complexities of human thought and behavior, as well as differences among people. Some of the topics we will cover include personality development and theories, intelligence, mental illness, the human brain, learning styles, sensation and perception, and social psychology. You will also learn about the methods psychologists use in their scientific research and practice.
