A Bright Futures Program
A Bright Futures Program is a community based program focusing on high school aged students living in the Elwick Village and Lord Selkirk Park communities of Winnipeg. The Program is run outside regular school hours focusing on each student earning course credits towards high school graduation. Program components include subject area tutoring, career exploration, community mentorship, and community service. All students (families) participating in the program must meet an low income requirement.
This new program is being developed through a partnership between the Seven Oaks School Division, Winnipeg School Division, the Community Education Development Association (CEDA) and Mount Carmel Clinic. The program is funded by the Province of Manitoba, the Winnipeg Foundation and the partner school divisions.
