Families, welcome to the exciting Advancing Community Schools initiative that the Seven Oaks School Division is most proud of...Welcome to our Seven Oaks Family. Please explore the links in this site to see how your family can be part of the fabulous experiences we will build with you in all fourteen of our elementary schools.

Advancing Community Schools is an initiative of the Seven Oaks School Division in partnership with Manitoba Education, Citizenship and Youth and Healthy Child Manitoba. Our focus is to promote and nurture early childhood development by growing the capacity of the home and the school.

To you, our families, this means we keep you at the center of our thinking and our planning. In the Advancing Community Schools (ACS) initiative we support you and your child from his/her birth.

As part of the ACS initiative we offer parent and child programs where you will be actively involved in your child’s growth and development. We focus on literacy, nutrition, parenting and building community capacity. Please come and explore what this looks like by clicking on the left hand link called parent-child programs.

The many dedicated, fabulous people who support the ACS initiative to help us build the connections we make with families and children are: Community Coordinators, Learning Support Teachers, Administrators, Classroom Teachers, Superintendents and Community Partners. As you become involved you will have the wonderful experience of building community with them and being part of your child’s healthy development.
