​Maria Santos is a fresh, new face on the Seven Oaks School Division Board of Trustees and is very excited to help make a difference for her community.

Elected in 2014, Maria’s priority is providing Seven Oaks kids with the best educational experience a school system can offer. She is a strong believer in the importance of literacy and numeracy skills and also places a strong emphasis on helping students develop communication and problem solving skills.

Committed to spending taxpayers’ dollars carefully and wisely, Maria will work to ensure funds are used efficiently and savings are found whenever available.

Maria says the most rewarding part of being a trustee is the opportunity to work with likeminded individuals to provide students with learning opportunities and environments that are safe, caring, respectful and consistent.
