On this page we hope to give you all the needed information to register your child for Kindergarten at Collicutt School for the 2025-2026 school year. Our Welcome to Kinder Night is on May 13, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Registration
Registration is online via the Seven Oaks School Division website: click here.
If you are unable to register online, please contact our school at 204-338-7937 and we will arrange an appointment for you to come into the school to complete the registration.
Families must register at their catchment school prior to requesting a school of choice.
Busing
The Division offers busing to students based on many factors (i.e. distance, feeder day cares etc.)
If you are interested in bussing, please complete the bussing information area on the on-line new student registration form.
The Transportation Department will be in contact with you to advise whether there is bussing available for your child and if there will be a cost associated with it.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does my child need to start kindergarten?
- A regular sized backpack (if it is too small, library book won't fit)
- Indoor shoes appropriate for gym (Velcro only please and label with your child's name)
- A complete change of clothes (in a labelled ziplock bag) to remain at school in their cubby
- A reusable water bottle labelled with your child's name
How do I sign up for family orientations and staggered start days?
Once your child is accepted, a letter will be sent home in August 2025 for your child's orientation and staggered start time and day. Please call the office at 204-338-7937 and Ms. Elvira will help you.Family Orientations will take place on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, starting at 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, September 3, from 9:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. Your child will attend with you. Meetings are 30 minutes in length.
Children will attend staggered starts on EITHER Thursday, September 4, OR Friday, September 5. Your child will attend a full class on Monday, September 8 from 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. You child will need a snack on these days.
Will my child need a snack from home?
- Yes, your child will have a 5-10 minute snack each day.
- We do not allow juice at snack. Please send water.
- Please send a healthy snack for your child (please do not send candy, cookies, cupcakes, chips)
Some ideas include:- Cheese and crackers
- Fruit & veggies
- Popcorn
- Sandwiches
- Yogurt
Does my child participate in gym, music, or library?
YES!! Your child will participate in all three of these. It is quite unique to have music and gym taught by a specialist at the kindergarten level.
What if my child needs to take the bus?
If your child needs to take a bus, you can contact the school for more information regarding catchment boundaries and specifics.
