Welcome to Kindergarten at Margaret Park! We are looking forward to meeting you! 

Kindergarten at Margaret Park is a half-day program, taking place daily, Monday thru Friday. Kindergarten is for children who will turn five during the same calendar year. If your child will turn 5 before December 31st of the calendar year, you can start Kindergarten in September of that same year.  

Kindergarten is a joyful time during which learners will be introduced to the structures of school and begin their formal learning journey. Our Kindergarten program promotes learning through exploration, play and inquiry. Learners will begin to form friendships and learn how to be a responsible friend and community member. Kindergarten learners will explore different curricular areas based on the Manitoba Framework for learning and will begin to see themselves as mathematicians, readers, writers and scientists. Kindergarten learners will participate in physical education and music classes as well as begin to form connections with other members of the school community through classroom partnerships such as reading buddies.
