A Message from your Maples Amnesty Group

Hey Maples! This is your Maples Amnesty Group wishing you a great school year! We are a group of students who work together to make our school and community a better place to live in. By being better informed about human rights, our student population can work towards achieving equality within our neighbourhood and abroad.

The Maples Group spreads awareness about current human rights issues, ways in which students can protect their rights and support others who are victims of abuse of those rights. Our major event is the Social Justice and Stewardship Fair which is held in the spring. All the students are given opportunity to participate in the fair through their classes, TAs or on an individual basis. Membership in the Maples Amnesty Group is open to all Maples students. We always welcome new members. We meet every Wednesday at lunch in the Ken Seaford Library. We hope that you will come and join us in supporting the fight for human rights in our neighbourhood, Canada and the World.
