Hello O.V. Jewitt Families!

Welcome to Mr. Winchar's Physical Education page. Here you will find all the information you will need to keep your children physically active during the suspension of classes that is geared towards improving their muscle strength, mus​cle endurance, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. If at any time you have any questions, comments, or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me anytime via email at gavin.winchar@7oaks.org. In addition, I will be in constant communication with classroom teachers to see if any questions or concerns arise.

Please refer to the documents below for your child's Physical Education program. 


 

For the first few weeks (March 23rd - April 17th) I have attached the document below labelled "O.V. Jewitt Workout" that explains and outlines my Physical Education expectations. Feel free to submit their completed work at any time via email or have them print it out and bring it in to O.V. Jewitt upon their return to school!

For the week of April 20th to April 24th I have attached a workout labelled "Alphabet Workout." Please have your child complete the workout once at some point throughout each day of the week!

For the week of April 27th to May 1st I have attached a workout labelled "Yoga Exercises 1." Please have your child complete the workout once at some point throughout each day of the week!​ There is detailed information on how to perform each pose and students are to hold each pose for 30 seconds while relaxing and focusing on their breathing.

For the week of May 4th to May 8th I have attached a workout labelled "Workout 1." Please have your child complete the workout once at some point throughout each day of the week! Students are to perform each exercise 15 times with the exception of the plank hold in which they are expected to hold it for 30 seconds.​ 

For the week of May 11th to May 15th I have attached a workout labelled "Yoga Exercises 2." Please have your child complete the workout once at some point throughout each day of the week!​ There is detailed information on how to perform each pose and students are to hold each pose for 30 seconds while relaxing and focusing on their breathing.​

For the week of May 19th to May 22nd I have attached a workout labelled "Superhero Workout 1." In the attachment you will find 5 different superhero workouts labelled "Avenger, Jedi, Slam Dunk, Spiderman, and Paws." Please have your child choose 1 of the 5 workouts and complete the workout to the best of their ability one time throughout each day of the week!​ There is detailed information on how to perform each exercise and in the process will help in increasing their muscle strength, muscle endurance, and cardiovascular endurance.

For the week of May 25th to May 29th I have attached a workout labelled "Superhero Workout 2." In the attachment you will find 5 different superhero workouts labelled "Spartan, Dragon Slayer, Assassin's Workout, Super Saiyan, and Footballer." Please have your child choose 1 of the 5 workouts and complete the workout to the best of their ability one time throughout each day of the week!​ There is detailed information on how to perform each exercise and in the process again will help in increasing their muscle strength, muscle endurance, and cardiovascular endurance.
