Curriculum & Learning |

Seven Oaks School Division proudly joined Manitoba’s largest Climate Action Youth Forum, with 265 participants from 50 schools—including 29 UNESCO Schools and 21 Sustainable Futures Schools. This event empowered students, educators, and administrators through meaningful professional development and funding for student-led climate action projects.

Highlights were Jennifer Engbrecht’s captivating Nature Soundscape workshop, alongside inspiring Climate Artivism creations by all the participants. Maples Collegiate youth, Miro, Bisman and Shekinah gave an inspiring keynote address, and AE Wright students, along with their teacher Joshua Bergmann led a climate simulation gaming workshop of their 'Green New World' game. 🌎🎶💚

Hosted at the iconic Canadian Museum for Human Rights, this forum showcased the power of collective action and the importance of navigating by your North Star. 🌟 We can’t wait to see the amazing climate initiatives these school teams bring back to their school communities. Let’s keep growing the good! 🌱
