About Forest Park School
Each year we take time as a staff to reflect on the school goals achieved from the past year and what we want to prioritize for the upcoming school year. We also consider the Divisional Plan and align our goals accordingly. Our most important goal, the one that is woven through our school plan, is that every child feels like they belong. We want our students to feel safe, cared for, challenged and be given opportunities to find and strengthen their passions and interests. We want to foster a community where children see themselves as important contributing members of our school and respect the unique qualities of on another. We learn from and alongside each other.
FOREST PARK LAND BASED ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
At Forest Park School we acknowledge we are on the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe, Ininewak, Aniishinin, Dene and Dakota peoples and the homeland of the Red River Métis Nation. As we learn, live and play throughout the seasons on this Treaty One land, we will walk softly, listen to and be grateful for this earth, this sky and these waters. We are responsible for taking care of ourselves, each other and this place by respecting our differences, acknowledging the past, and moving toward truth and reconciliation.
