Career Development is designed with the realities of today's workplace needs in mind. It emphasizes self-direct learning, encouraging learners to take charge of their own career development journey. Career development is more than choosing an occupation - it is about managing life, learning & work in a holistic way. This course helps learners explore compatible career options, develop employability skills and set meaningful goals for a smoother transition from high school to post-secondary education or training, while also considering how to build a balanced life. A practical component of the course includes resume & cover letter writing, job application strategies & interview preparation. Learners will also paricipate in career fairs and explore topics such as workplace safety and health.
