In this course, learners explore foundational concepts in biology, with a focus on the interdependence of life. Topics include ecology, biodiversity, genetics, and classification, as well as reproduction, DNA/RNA, evolution, and cellular respiration. Special emphasis is placed on biotechnology applications such as genetically modified food, forensics, recombinant DNA technology, the Human Genome Project, and gene therapy.
