This course is an extension of the Chemistry 30S course. This course involves the development of theoretical ideas and individual problem-solving, for which mathematics competence is required. 

Topics include:

• Atomic structure (electronic configuration)
• Kinetics (reaction rates)
• Equilibrium (Le Chatelier’s Principle and solubility)
• Acids and bases (pH and neutralization)
• Electrochemistry (redox reactions and electrochemical cells)
