Fundraising at Garden City Collegiate

Want to participate in the fundraisers?

Each year Garden City Collegiate students have the opportunity to participate in fundraising campaigns that span the school year. Families can choose to fund raise in any or all of the options. All fundraising profits are held in student accounts to be used for school trips and activities, athletic team equipment, fees and tournaments, Grad wear, photos dinner-dance tickets, and even GC Gopher Hole merchandise! 

To participate in the fundraisers, students are to see Mrs. Lubkey in room 209W. 

How do I get involved? 

1. Check out the fundraising bulletin board outside of room 209W or on the school website. 
2. Choose the campaign(s) you’d like to participate in & pick up the items/order forms from Mrs. Lubkey in room 209W at the posted start date. 
3. SELL, SELL, SELL! 
4. Return your orders/ payments to Mrs. Lubkey by the campaign’s end date.

#1  - Meat, Cheese & Perogy Fundraiser:   Sept 11 - 25, 2024

These delicious items would be a great addition to your Thanksgiving table or tasty additions to your regular dinner selections.

• Perogy Planet - 2.2lb bags of Potato & cheddar perogies (~3 dozen)
  • Allergy Alert - Perogies do contain flour, soy and dairy 
• Bothwell Cheese - see the order form for a huge selection of cheeses and cheese bundles
• Springfield Meats - coarse or fine ground garlic coils and packages of pepperoni sticks

Order Forms will be available from Mrs. Lubkey by the end of the day or you can download them to either print at home or send electronically to friends and family.

#2  - Kernel's Popcorn, InstaCake & Fundscrip Gift Card Fundraiser:  Oct. 30th to Nov. 15th, 2024

All Orders will be Delivered to School for pick up on Wednesday, Dec.11th between 2:30& 4pm.

Kernel's Popcorn Fundraiser: 

• Individual bags sell for $3 each - student profit is $1.35/bag for seasoned flavours and $1.25/bag for caramel; 
  • each foil bag holds ~3 cups of popcorn and is sealed for freshness
  • 10 delicious flavours to choose from (Buttersalt, Salt & Vinegar, White Cheese, Dill Pickle, Ketchup, Say Cheese Cheese, Jalapeno Jack, Thai Sweet Chili, Cheesy Dill, Creamy Caramel)
  • Each bag also has a 2 for 1 coupon on the bag for added value!
• Party Bags sell for $50 each - student profit is $7.40/party bag
  • each party bag holds ~100 cups of popcorn and is sealed for freshness
  • flavours to choose from (Buttersalt, Salt & Vinegar, Whalin White Cheese, Dilled Out, Kickin' Ketchup, Say Cheese Cheese, Jalapeno Jack, Thai Sweet Chili, Cheesy Dill)
  • includes 50 smaller share bags with each Party Bag

Instacake Fundraiser:

This fundraiser is new to our lineup- selling a special cake packet that can be mailed or just popped into an envelope and left for someone special for a variety of celebrations.

• Cake kits with cards sell for $15  - student profit is $6
• Cake kits without a card sell for $10  -  student profit is $4
• Gluten free Cake kit sell for $11 - student profit is $4

These cake mixes are packaged in a peanut free facility and are to be baked in a microwave.

Fundscrip Gift Card Fundraiser:

We are fast approaching the season of giving and the holiday shopping that accompanies it!  If you are planning on giving or using Gift Cards, then you might as well earn a profit on your presents!  

Fundscrip Gift Card fundraiser is ordered and paid online to avoid having our students carrying significant amounts of money!  

Links to the Ordering Site along with the Invitation Code will be posted in the fundraising calendar below and on the fundraising materials.  

• Gift Cards are for a wide variety of Manitoba businesses and retail chains
• Profits vary between 2-10% and are a percentage of the gift cards sold.
• Your family & friends must register with Fundscrip first before making their purchases; they will be asked to provide a unique password of their own choosing.  Use the posted Invitation Code JG7PV3 to support our school.
• Cards are ordered and paid for on this site using EFT or personal payee (no credit card payment)
• Students/Families can promote this fundraiser using the promotional materials found below or see Mrs Lubkey in Rm209 for hard copies

Orders for both fundraisers must be placed online before the deadline to ensure the delivery on our posted delivery date

Delivery for all 3 campaign options - Dec.11th between 2:30-4:00pm in the Commons

#3 - Momentum's Gourmet Cookie Dough Fundraiser - Mid February (exact dates TBA) 

Classic Gourmet Pre-Formed Cookies (5 Flavours): $23.00 per box  (profit of $9.20/box)

• Chocolate Chip, Ginger, Double Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip & Oatmeal Cranberry.

Premium Gourmet Cookies (3 Flavours): $25.00 per box  (profit of $10.00/box)

M&M Circus Circus, Pecan Chocolate Chip & White Chocolate Macadamia

Puff Wheat & Rice Crispie squares.:  $29.00 per box  (profit of$11.60/each) 

Whether Classic or Premium variety, each box of cookies contains 36 pre-portioned place and bake cookies. Puff Wheat & Rice Crispie Square boxes contain 24 large individually plastic wrapped 40 gram squares.

Students can pick up order sheets or download them from this website along with the information letter.

All orders with payment must be turned in to Mrs. Lubkey on or BEFORE Deadline at 2:30pm. No late orders will be accepted.

On delivery date, students/families will be expected to pick up your orders between 2:30 & 4:30pm from the Commons.  We do not have freezer space to store them for you.

Remember - frozen cookies need to stay frozen - please plan accordingly!

#4 - Aunt Sarah's Simply Delicious Chocolate Bars:

This is our final fundraiser of the school year!!  

To participate in our Aunt Sarah's Simply Delicious Chocolate fundraiser, students should see Mrs Lubkey in Rm209W before school, at lunch or after school to pick up their sellers pack of chocolate once the campaign starts!!

3 varieties have been ordered: Simply Delicious (almond & caramel),  Simply Caramel,  Simply Crispie (with rice crispies)

Each seller's pack contains 30 bars of one of the 4 options above.  If you would like a mixed box, coordinate with friends.

• Chocolate bars sell for $3 each (30 bars in a seller pack = $90 for the box)
• Profit is $1.25/bar sold.  Profit held in student's fundraising account.
• Students can sign out 1 seller's pack at a time without pre-payment.  If your family would like to have more than one, please send in the $90/box for those additional boxes.
