Founded in 2024, Theatre Hub was created to provide a shared creative space where students could collaborate beyond their individual school communities and experience what it truly means to run a theatre company. What began as a conversation between student founders Marley Passante, Ehrian Lane Federis, Tatiana Tuazon, and Jaxon German, alongside advisors Emma and Terri, quickly evolved into a bold and inspiring initiative grounded in collaboration, leadership, and artistic excellence.

The vision behind Theatre Hub is clear: to simulate a real-world theatre company where students take ownership of creative decisions, production roles, and the overall artistic direction of their work. From directing and stage management to design, choreography, music, and marketing, students step into authentic roles that mirror professional theatre environments. While the Hub is fully student-led, it is strengthened through ongoing mentorship from experienced theatre professionals Aaron Frost, Stephen Sim, and Toby Hughes. Their guidance provides industry insight, practical expertise, and meaningful feedback that supports students in refining their craft while maintaining creative autonomy.

The Hub’s first major project, the musical She Kills Monsters (2024), set the foundation for its collaborative model. Students worked together across schools to bring the production to life from the ground up—developing staging concepts, managing rehearsals, designing technical elements, and building a cohesive creative vision. The experience demonstrated the power of cross-school collaboration and confirmed that Met students were ready to lead ambitious, high-quality theatre productions.

Building on that momentum, Theatre Hub launched the musical CLUE (2025), further solidifying its identity as a dynamic, student-run company. The first official meeting of the Hub brought students together to finalize plans for CLUE, establishing a culture of shared responsibility, innovation, and professionalism. The production continues to showcase students’ growth in leadership, problem-solving, and artistic expression.

Working closely with mentors enriches the internship experience by providing real-world insight, encouragement, and expert guidance. Students strengthen their technical and performance skills, learn to navigate creative challenges collaboratively, and build confidence in their abilities. Theatre Hub offers more than a production credit—it offers meaningful, hands-on experience in professional-level theatre creation, preparing students for future artistic pathways while fostering community, creativity, and leadership across the Met network.
