Many schools around the world, notably in Japan, have moved to a zero-waste model. The Eco-Warriors think that we can do that here, if only for a day to start! On April 25th we will be removing all garbage cans from the building. Students are encouraged to bring zero-waste lunches - any waste that is created (such as food wrappers) will be sent home in the students' lunch kits and disposed of at home. One of the greatest challenges facing our society is the mass amounts of waste produced by single-use consumer culture. Here at the Eco-Warriors we aim to buck that trend!
