Ben Zaidman Educational Resource Centre (BZERC), named after a long-serving School Trustee, is the divisional library supporting Seven Oaks staff with professional learning materials, curriculum support and a variety of resources to enhance teaching and learning .

BZERC is located at 375 Jefferson Avenue, between Victory School and the Public Library.

Our collection contains approximately 9000 books and about the same number of videos covering all areas of the curriculum. At this time, most of our videos are still in VHS format but our DVD holdings are growing. We also have a variety of kits covering different disciplines, including art, math, reading and French. Books, DVDs, videos and kits are available in English and French. The first thing that many people notice on entering our library is our large collection of puppets, which are in heavy demand by teachers at the elementary level but have been used by all grade levels.

BZERC is also a work centre where posters, maps, student work and other material can be laminated and/or coil-bound. And our cozy seating area makes an ideal meeting space for small groups. Call Barb Horn at the Board Office to book this space.
