When does EAL Camp start? When does it end?
- EAL Camp starts on July 15th and ends on August 1st,2024.
- The program runs from Monday to Friday 9:30-11:30am with an optional extended hours program on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays until 2:00pm.
Which locations will EAL Camp be in?
- There are three locations this year: Arthur E. Wright School, Forest Park School, and Adult Learning Centre.
- Students from Kindergarten to Grade 7 can go to Arthur E. Wright or Forest Park. Students in Grade 8 to 12 will be at Adult Learning Centre.
What happens during EAL Camp?
- From 9:30am to 11:30am, students will be in classrooms learning English with teachers.
- On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, there will be activities that students can partake in.
- On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays at 2:00pm, students get ready to go home.
Who is eligible to join EAL Camp? What grades can join the EAL Camp?
- Students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 can join the EAL Camp!
- English language learners.
My child is (x) years old, can they join?
- Kindergarten students should have finished Kindergarten in June 2024.
- Students going into Kindergarten in September, are unfortunately ineligible.
- Students born in the year 2018 are eligible to join the camp.
How can I register my kid to the EAL Camp?
- You can click the above button or fill out a paper copy that you can give to the school!
- Posters and flyers for the camp will also have QR codes that you can scan with your phones! It will take you to our online registration form.
Is there a cost/fee for joining the EAL Camp?
- There is no cost to joining our camp! It is completely free.
