Who we are

École Belmont is a French immersion milieu school in the Seven Oaks School Division on Treaty 1 territory and the homeland of the Métis Nation. We currently have approximately 305 students in Kindergarten to Grade 5 and 33 staff members.

At École Belmont we strive to create an inclusive, multilingual community that celebrates diversity and values the voice of each child. We are proud that many students, families and staff members refer to our school community as “La Famille Belmont – the Belmont Family.”

Over the years, we have become the Belmont Bees. The inspiration to have our school logo represented by a bee comes from the awe and wonderment of bees! They have much to teach us about achieving goals, interdependence, unity and well-being of our community and our planet.

École Belmont is like a beehive. We are a community where everyone plays an important role. Every bee is important and every little action we do can add value to the hive. The strong communication and collaboration amongst bees makes the hive a democratic and successful place. Like bees, we endeavor to create a place where we all work at taking care of ourselves, each other and our space.  As bees create honey, together we contribute to realizing the sweetness and the beauty of life.

We  "bee"lieve…

At École Belmont, we are a family.

Everyone is included.

Everyone belongs.

We strive to develop empathetic children

Who celebrate diversity

Who see themselves as capable citizens

Fully engaged in life.rttc-5.8d0c523911.jpg

We believe that the voices of children are important

That each individual is unique

That kindness is a foundation for everything

That we are better when we collaborate

And that all students are capable of learning and living in French.
