Privacy Policy/Terms of Use 

• You can visit the Seven Oaks School Division (SOSD) on the web without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. No personal information is ever gathered automatically through the SOSD website. There are times, however, when we may need you to provide us with information, such as name, email address, payment information, and resume.  
• If you use our contact form, our school locator, or submit an application for employment, you will be providing us with some personal information including your name, e-mail address and resume. This personal information will be used only to reply to your question or respond to your application. It will not be disclosed to anyone other than the intended recipient or their immediate administrative support staff. We will not share or sell your information to a third party, nor will we use your information for marketing purposes.  
• The collection of all information through our website is in conformity with sections 36(1)(b) and 36(2) of The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).

Information Collected in Emails and Online Forms (is this redundant?)

• We treat emails with the same respect we treat letters sent to the SOSD. We do not collect personal information for any purpose other than to respond to you. The only personal information collected that is used to identify you is information you give voluntarily. When you submit a question or comment, you may be asked for your name, email address, or other information. This personal information is used to process and respond to your question or comment and is only disclosed to those who need it to answer your question, to the person that your inquiry relates to or to parties legislatively authorized to receive the information.  
• If you complete an online form and submit it to us through our website, we use that information for the purposes described on the form. Personal information collected from an online form will be treated in accordance with the privacy protection provisions of the FIPPA Act.

Information Collected in Online Surveys 

• At the SOSD, online surveys may be used to gather perspectives and help inform decision-making, as well as gathering data for research purposes. Information collected in online surveys is collected in alignment with Manitoba’s FIPPA Act. Anonymity is always protected when sharing survey results. 
• Personal information secured on our system only as long as active retention is applied. We do not store personal user information on our system.  

Terms of Use

• All material provided on this Seven Oaks School Division website is intended for informational purposes only and should not be used to replace either official documents (except where the material on the website is explicitly identified as comprising the official version of a document), or the advice of a qualified professional. 
• Your access to and use of this website shall be governed by the following Terms of Use. The Seven Oaks School Division reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time without notice.

• SOSD agrees to provide access to the Website to you solely in accordance with the Terms of Use. Seven Oaks School Division retains the right to terminate website access at its discretion.

  4. only use this Website if you are legally able to make binding contracts under applicable law; and

• This Website allows parents of children enrolled with SOSD to pay fees applicable to such child’s enrollment through credit card or debit transactions (the “Payment Services”).
