Come to our Open House in February, or schedule a one-on-one appointment for your family to come and visit the school
- Submit a piece of work that is the best thing you've ever made, created or performed (student submission*)
- Include both a student letter & parent (or significant adult) letter about why you want to come to the Met

- A copy of your high school transcript (if applying for grade 10-12)
- 2 documents for proof of address (lease agreement, utility bill, tax assessment)
- The online application form
If you do not live in the Seven Oaks School Division catchment, you will also need to complete:
- Out of Division Form (link below)
If you are new to the Seven Oaks School Division, you will also need to submit:
- A piece of identification (birth certificate or passport)
- Manitoba Health Card (this will not be kept on file)
- A permanent resident or temporary resident card (if you are not a Canadian citizen)
*Please note, these submissions are not evaluative in nature but designed so we can get to know you better and your reasons for applying.
* If you are not currently attending a Seven Oaks School, you must also complete the Divisional Application Form.
As Met School courses run from September to June (not by semester), families are asked to make a minimum commitment of one school year.
How is Met different from other high schools?
Students start in the Exchange Met school by exploring their interests, examining career connections and doing research on the industries in our cities. They develop resumes, work on interview skills and arrange to interview people in their fields of interest to build understanding of their future plans before securing an internship. Check out the video below for more details and hear stories from past Met School learners.
Families and learners wanting more details on our school or the 2024/25 school year are encouraged to contact Jane Suchy, Principal at Exchange Met Schools via school phone (204) 589-9854, or email mcat@7oaks.org

You also need to email the following documents to mcat@7oaks.org to complete your application process: student submission, student letter, parent/guardian (or significant adult) letter, a copy of a recent report card.
