Maples Dance
Students enrolled in Dance at Maples Collegiate learn a variety of dance styles, but the primary focus is on Jazz dance. Jazz dance is an umbrella term that can refer to several related dance styles, including Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Funk, and Hip Hop.
In addition to learning and performing choreography, students study dance theory, learn classical ballet barre exercises, master movements that travel across the floor, and explore their own creativity within the context of student choreography projects.
* Maples Collegiate is pleased to announce that Tap will now be offered as part of the 2013-2014 course content.
