​​​Welcome to the ESOMS Band Page! We are about to begin an exciting year of music making. 

​Grade 6 Band​

Beginner band can be a very exciting time! Shortly, students will know what instruments will be playing throughout the year. We will be playing our instrument by the second week of school and students will be taking their instruments home at the end of September. ​

​Grade 7 Band

This year, students​ will strengthen their musicianship, learn together and grow as a community of learners. Students will play more and more challenging music and learn new concepts and skills. Students first performance this year is at our Winter Concert. Please see the Band calendar for additional information.

Grade 8 Band​

As senior members of the ÉSOMS band community, Grade 8 Band students will take on leadership roles this year. Student mentorship will provide Grade 8 students with a chance to help a younger student grow and develop on their instrument. Grade 8 Band students will play at assemblies this year, including our Remembrance Day Assembly November 10th. As a band, we will take on new musical challenges and get to know ourselves as musicians.
