Tiffany Winchar is bringing a new, fresh perspective to her first term as School Board Trustee, representing Ward 1.
Tiffany has been a full-time stay-at-home parent to her two children for 11 years. In that time, she's been heavily involved in volunteering with her children's school and the community of West St. Paul.
She understands how things work from a parent's perspective and has had the privilege to communicate openly with families in West St Paul. She looks forward to bringing their ideas for better schools and community to the table.
Tiffany's desire to become a Seven Oaks School Division Board of Trustee stems from her passion for ensuring that all students are given an equal opportunity for high quality education. Seven Oaks School Division has played such a positive and integral role in her and her family's life. She wants to bring new ideas to the Division, while ensuring that already integral programs continue to be supported and improved.
Being a Mother and community role model to her sons is her number one priority. In becoming a school trustee, her aim is to show how channeling passion for positive change can lead to concrete actions and positive results for all stakeholders.
Even when facing challenges and all odds are against you, she wants the community to know perseverance brings success.
For Tiffany, school should be a place where children feel safe, accepted and at home. She is committed to advocating to further expand mental health resources, as well as ensuring easy access to readily available mental health resources in the Division.
Principally, Tiffany strives to be an accessible Trustee that parents and community feel they can reach out to.
