We will be having 30-minute sing-alongs in our tent.

Who is it for?

This tent is aimed at K-4 classroom teachers who already do a lot of classroom singing, or who would like to incorporate more singing into their classrooms.

What will we sing?

We have chosen ten sing-along songs from beloved Canadian children's singers – and a couple of our own favourites. ​We ask that you and your students become familiar with these songs prior to Arts in the Park so that everyone will be ready to sing-along on the day!

I teach French Immersion. Will all the songs be in English?

Mais non! Some of our selections will be in French (but accessible for non-immersion classrooms) and we hope to sing together in Ojibwe, Ukrainian and Filipino also.

Is it okay if we come to the sing-along but my class doesn't know the songs?

A sing-along is a lot more fun if everyone knows at least some of the songs. Please do your best to familiarize your students with all the songs before Arts in the Park…but on the other hand, don't worry if everyone doesn't know every word.
