Riverbend nindanokii. Hello! My
name is Pamela Morrison from Big Grassy River First Nation in Ontario. I am of
the Bear Clan as well as the Sturgeon Clan.
I am currently the Ojibwe Bilingual Kindergarten teacher at Riverbend
Community School. It has been an honour
to pass on the language the past 3 years to the Kindergarten students. Gichi
Gloria Barker and Pamela Morrison will share an overview of the Ojibwe Bilingual Program at Riverbend School. Riverbend Community School hosts the 7 Oaks Ojibwe Bilingual program and its goal is to promote language and Ojibwe culture through knowledge keepers and language speakers who will ensure Anishinaabemowin will be spoken 7 generations from now. Students enrolled in the Ojibwe Bilingual Program receive instruction in core subject areas in both Ojibwe and English.
