In order to use ‘transportation’ as an income tax deduction, the transportation service must be of a ‘public’ nature.
Since school buses are NOT used as a means of public transportation, Revenue Canada will not accept the transportation fees as a deduction and the Seven Oaks School Division will NOT issue receipts for these fees.
