​Knowing an additional language is an important skill for up-and-coming citizens of the world … and more and more parents within our school division are recognizing the value in additional-language education.

Students in Seven Oaks School Division have the opportunity to study in more than a dozen different languages, including one as an immersion program and two as bilingual courses of study, at numerous schools throughout the division.

French Immersion

We offer K-12 French Immersion.

Since students attend kindergarten for only a half-day, the majority of lessons are taught in French to increase literacy and help students gain a higher understanding of their new language. Students in Grades 1-5 receive French instruction in most subject areas, for approximately 75% of the school day. At the Middle and Senior Years levels, students receive instruction in French for 40-70% of the school day.
